Below is a recipe for an oh-so delicious recipe. Gluten free, grain free, dairy free, guilt free! I came across it on OhSheGlows blog, but I added bacon while hers was vegan. Below that is something even more satisfying to feed on.
Here’s what you do:
- Peel and dice one whole butternut squash; roast for 50 minutes on 400F or until bottoms are starting to brown (I never realized how hard it is to peel a butternut squash!)
- Cook one package of quinoa according to the directions. Add salt and pepper to taste. Set aside.
- Dice 1 or 2 avocados. Toss in lemon juice to prevent browning.
- Fry 5-6 strips of bacon; crumble when finished (optional).
- When all of the ingredients are done, layer the dish as follows: quinoa, butternut squash, avocado, bacon, salt and pepper.
Daniel’s vision of the 70 weeks is one of the most well known prophecies in the Old Testament. Many interpretations have been made about it, but in fact the 70 “weeks” translates to 490 years in Hebrew (it is important to always refer to the original text-the Textus Receptus whilst studying scripture-which is what the KJV is translated from). We can look back and see that the events of all 69 weeks have occurred. But this leaves one week unaccounted for. For many this presents a problem. Many are quick to jump to conclusions that Daniel is “inaccurate, contradictory or just plain lore”. For those that can spiritually discern the Scriptures, the fact that we have yet to see the events of the 70th week is clear: The 70th week is describing the 7 years of The Great Tribulation of the end times. This has clearly not happened yet, so what gives? Well…it’s as if time has stopped.
God is outside of time, He created it for man. He has “paused” the time between the 69th week to the 70th as He turned from the Jewish people unto the Gentiles (as seen in Paul’s ministry). This is the time we are in now. Time has been stopped until God’s will for His chosen people is fulfilled and Christ can return to establish His kingdom on Earth-the Millennial reign. After that…Armageddon. Are you ready friends?
It is indeed very strange and at first difficult to understand. What have you heard/been taught about Daniel’s 70 weeks? Remember, The Bible is 100% accurate and applicable-past, present and future-and every word is divinely inspired. Whatever you believe (or don’t believe) ultimately comes down to what you put your faith in. Is it depraved man (evolution)? Is it meaninglessness (atheism, agnosticism)? Is it a false god(s) (other religions)? I put my faith in The God of the Bible, The One who always has been and always will be. And as long as you can truly believe and trust that “In the beginning God …” (Genesis 1:1) then the rest is easy.
Selah my friends.
