Turmeric paste: (use in recipes or medicinally)
1/2 c turmeric
1 c filtered water
1 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
5 tbs organic coconut oil
Mix on low heat the milk and turmeric until it becomes a thick paste. never allow to boil. add the pepper and coconut oil. mix until homogenized. store in refrigerator.
On low heat, whisk together 1-2 tbs turmeric paste, 1 c coconut milk (or any milk you prefer), and 1 tsp coconut oil. Never allow to boil. Add raw, unfiltered honey to taste. (NOTE: the honey cuts the bitterness of the turmeric. It is an acquired taste, like coffee. Try and “up” your dosage of tumeric paste as you go, the health benefits are astounding!
