In its essence it is simple. The ingredients don’t require hours of preparation. Yet, the care needed to produce a Tokyo-worthy bowl is to be admired.

With its generous portion of meaty chicken, pillowy gnocchi, hearty spinach and comforting broth it was a hit not only with me-but my four year old as well! She even had a second serving! Since it is national soup month, we’re going to try and make a homemade soup once a week for dinner.
